Picked up some of my new hardware

Picked up some hardware for the new desktop PC I’m going to build this week. I’m really looking forward to this!

This is the contents:

• Power supply: Hiper ATX 530W Black, 20mm fan, 2xSATA, 2XPCI-E, 20/24pin
• Motherboard: Asus P5B DLX/WIFI-AP, P965, Socket-775, ATX, 2xGbLAN, SATAII, Firewire, PCI-Ex16
• Memory: Corsair Dominator TWIN2X6400C4D 2048MB, DDR2,2x1GB(KIT),DHX,E.P.P, CL4-4-4-12T
• Hard drive: Samsung SpinPoint T166 500GB SATA2, 16MB 7200RPM
• Graphics: MSI GeForce 7600GT 256MB GDDR3, PCI-Express, 2xDVI-I/Tv-Out, Heatpipe

From before I have an Intel Core2Duo E6600, 240GHz, 1066 MHz, FSB, 4 MB L2 Cache, boxed, w/ fan.

Still waiting for my black, aluminium, Antec Performance One P180 Miditower, which will be arriving the post office Monday. All parts except CPU is bought from Komplett data. They were fast in delivery, except for the gift certificate I waited a week and a half to get!

Can’t wait to get it up with Ubuntu 7.04, Feisty Fawn and hook it up to my TV! I may not leave the house after that 🙂

Bug in e10update

Maintaining one page instead of multiple posts. That just gets less confusing for me. Here’s the page

There is currently a bug in my e10update script, that unables you to eject your player. I’ll look into it soon.

UPDATE: This is due to a bug in package “eject” in Ubuntu Feisty Fawn. I filed a bug for it in Launchpad. sudo eject works fine, and you can still manually eject it by right-clicking on the E10 icon on your desktop, choosing “unmount volume”, or whatever it’s called in your language.

UPDATE 2: Eject seems to work again. Don’t really know what changed.

Received my E10!

Finally, I picked up my iRiver E10 today. Ran my script, and updated the firmware from 1.02 to 1.04, as described at misticriver forums. (The firmware file is located here.)
