The future of easy Wine-management

Wine is a MS Windows compatibility layer allowing you to run some applications made for Windows in Linux and such. It has been a bloody pain to configure. Wine-tools helped a little, but seems to be a dead project. (There is a newer version of Wine-tools here) There is also ies4linux which is easy to use. (Note: Do not use MS Internet Explorer to browse the internet. Use it for compatibility checks for your web page.)

Well, the point is. These tools are good, but of limited use. ies4linux and wine-tools also set up wine user settings in different locations, which causes some problems.

Well. Now emerging is the promising Wine-doors. Awaiting eagerly.
